You pay for a war with a tax cut for the wealthy and printing money, and it comes back to you.

You piss off a billion moslems by tolerating some Israeli's continuing theft of Palestinian land, and since those moslems sell you oil, it comes back to you.

You short your neighbor by buying cheaper foreign made goods, it comes back to you.

You bust the unions by trashing your manufacturing sector, it comes back to you.

You cripple your energy production with unreasonable and hysterical "environmental" concerns, it comes back to you.

You ignore climate history and plan only for good weather, it coms back to you.

It wasn't some "them" out there who put put us in this mess, it was ourselves.

I expect that at some point real assets will be bought by those holding those dollars, entire firms like Budweiser, Kraft, Exxon-Mobil, RJR, Pepsi, Coke, Micorsoft, Yahoo, Intel, Motorola, etc. If you have paper dollars, at some point that should be one way to protect their value, no matter how low the reaturns are.
