The trip was scheduled, but the Pentagon forebade it on the grounds that politicking is not allowed on military bases...though judging by recent history, they mean only Democrats aren't allowed to politick on military bases. How many hundreds of Republican political speeches have we seen staged on military bases over the last eight years?
Oh yeah, and the Pentagon notified the Obama campaign only a day before the visit was scheduled. Can you say "setup"?
