Spring for tickets to the IMAX version
It was well worth the expense. I waited 2 weeks for the Imax around here to stop selling out before I saw it. The performances from everyone, but especially Heath Ledger, were so engrossing that it was actually hard to follow the plot. Also, the action scenes didn't make me sit there rolling my eyes, and didn't take over the movie.
Let me put it this way: The performances were so good that Maggie Gillenhall (spelled?) seemed over-shadowed as an actress- and I think shes one of the best actresses on the market out there.
