I have always liked Onenote but it is expensive to keep updated and I came across Evernote which is a free program that seems to pretty neat for keeping up with notes or almost anything else for that matter.

I am still not that familiar with the program and I don't fully understand what is in it for them exactly. I know that some of the content is web based and there are some limitations on the free bandwidth available but none of that is totally clear to me at present. On the free program you can store up to 500 mb online and keep it syncronized with your PC. You can also send email to the Evernote site as well as messages and pics from your phone

Anything on the internet and anything on your computer can be transferred to an Evernote which can be edited and tagged for future location. Even handwritten script is read for tags.
