The Habitable Zone after which this place is named is all about balance.

BALANCE.

Not too hot. Not too cold.

The Zone exists in a spectra which permits life to grow and thrive.

If this place is to mimic its namesake, it must also chart a course of balance. All extremes must be avoided. Political extremes, emotional extremes, conflictional extremes, topic extremes - any and all sorts of extremes must be avoided to sustain thriving participation.

I'd love to see this place prevail and thrive like its namesake. Just something to think about and keep in the back of your mind when visiting here. I'd like to see this place provide such an attractive, positive board that passerbys can't help but want to join and stay in the habitablezone so provided here. How many folks like it when they hear their neighbors screaming at each the other? How many want to go and mix it up with these same folks? The answer is of course almost no one.

Let's try to live up to the namesake - just for a while. Let's see if we can't make this board a sterling example of what BB communication can achieve. Let's see if we can't draw in new members along side the regulars who have long sought to encounte a REAL "habitablezone" on the web.

The effort to do so is so small - the payoff is so big.
