RightWing rhetoric borrows a lot from the techniques of stage magicians--"look! over there! Don't look at me, look at the bright lights!" and "Look at what those evil Democrats are doing or about to do (and don't you dare notice that I'm already doing it)"

But why are you amazed? The GOP has attempted to rebrand itself as some sort of Frankenstein populist, but it can never truly abandon its roots as the PR flack for big business. Anybody who can expound on the trickle-down theory of economics with a straight face is not a populist, not when he divides the world into those folks up there doing the trickling down on us poor wretches down here.

Here's a bonus question: What's the correlation between companies that don't pay taxes with companies that offshore employment?
