Or does the Moon seem to be especially bright tonight (August 16)?

I know there is a lunar eclipse going on everywhere BUT North America, so I was
wondering if that could somehow have an effect on the Moon's brightness? Or
am I just imagining things?

Or is the Moon doing this to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of our first
attempt to reach it with Pioneer 0?
