Russia's transgression into Georgia

It's all about the oil. Oil is going to redraw the boundaries in a lot of countries and the big (read powerful) countries swallow up the little guys.

Georgia has three pipelines from the Caucasus. None of them run through Russia. However, once Russia has swallowed South Ossetia & Abkhazia, it looks like it will control two of those pipelines, if not all three. One of them carries oil down to Turkey. It's off-line now because of Kurdish PPK terrorist actions although it's fixed now and ready to start flowing again.

So, will Turkey get drawn into the conflict? The pipelines feed the US and Europe. Will this become the beginnings of WWIII?

It's all about oil. The black gold stuff is cursed. If we had followed Carter's guidance so many years ago, we wouldn't be so damned dependent on the stuff. And now that gas prices are going down, people are right back driving all over the place again. People are just fracking stupid. And that includes the politicians who could have, should have, seen all these messes coming and done some preventative things.
