We have spent over five years of manpower and hard cash trying to route out the Taliban and they have resurfaced in droves. Their jihad camps are no longer paid for by us. They have newer, closer targets (look at Iraq for example).
An "insurgent" or target is considered in some underground bunker in Co. where people get paid to GUESS, based on dubious information. I think it's a crap shoot. I'd back off and wait until the groups become large enough that they could be a threat to OUR soil.
Strengthen our borders and forget the duck shoot.
With our Predator drones and virtual battlefields, we have taken war to a level that can become philospohical and distracted at the same time. Ask any of the "computer soldiers" who fire their bombs from nearly 10,000 miles away. This is something that is getting out of hand and lacks true oversight. It's a "war" of convenience.
