Buran is a sweet design
Hi Lee
Buran was a better Orbiter than the Shuttle in a lot of ways - its systems were about 15 years younger, for starters. Lugging 12 tons of engines into orbit didn't make a lot of sense, and the SRBs were a bad compromise compared to the Zenit liquid fuelled boosters. But it's a path not taken and abandoned 20 years ago.
