Mercy Rule?
In a nationally televised high school football game today (or last night, not sure which), Rockhurst High (a Catholic high school) beat the crap out of Blue Springs (Rockhurst in in KC, Blue Springs a city just East of KC proper). The sports report tonight said that Rockhurst was so far ahead, the Mercy Rule was invoked. What the heck is that? I mean, I know the why, but exactly what exactly happens with the Mercy Rule?
I've always prided myself in knowing the game reasonably well but that was a new one on me.
