3,184,943 votes - 1996 (primaries)

449,225 votes - 2000 (general)

Barack Obama runs for President and gets...

17,535,458 votes - 2008 (primaries)

So I figure that makes Obama about 5-6 times more "mainstream" than that rightwinger Buchanan...
