So that's your new argument?

You're saying now that the phenomenon of liberals screaming "racism", "bigotry" and "islamophobia" whenever someone criticizes any element of Islamic society doesn't exist? It's only a phenomenon that has happened here in this tiny sample on the Zone by Bowser, Robert and YOU, but no where else? If that is your argument you are on paper-thin ice.

This is the entire argument in a nutshell. You have likely already seen this but it's worth a fresher in light of this discussion. Listen carefully to how the subject is framed in the beginning by Maher and Harris. They are discussing liberal values and asking why so many liberals freak out when it is pointed out that conservative islamic societies have illiberal values relating to basic freedoms, women, gays and non muslims. Then watch the freak out. Sam Harris states the issues and facts quite clearly in the midst of all the emotional and disconnected responses, including "racism", "bigotry", the "you can't blame all of them" line always used when no one is blaming all of them. The "you can't blame the innocent teenage kid on the street" when no one is blaming the innocent teenage kid.

I'm sure you'll get what you like out of it.

So now, I ask again, is Let Girls Learn an organization that will inspire islamophobia? After all it is liberal westerners projecting their cultural values on other societies, right? In my view as a progressive liberal who cares about equality for women, I feel LGL is exactly the kind of thing we should be doing. What do you think? I suspect Hillary as president will do more than even the Obamas on the issue of women and girls rights around the world.
