What if we got a radio signal, say a video clip, received from interstellar distances, and it is a recording of an 8-foot long centipede... and it wants to talk to us. What if it shares some information in the video, such as what it eats, how it eats it..... just happens to be a monkey-like animal.... Oh, but it is very curious about science, and wants to learn as much as it can about us!

... wouldn't you be a teeny bit alarmed?
