(thinking outloud...)
Are you worried that Palin will take the reins in the event of McCains death? Me too. But if the old codger makes it through his first and only term, she will have had 4 years of 'on the job' training. Bush senior did a good job but came to vice presidency with substantial qualifications.
I'm strongly against her position on abortion. I'm aligned with her 2nd amendment stance. I'm not sure how our country would deal with the civil unrest created by overturning Roe v Wade. I don't know if there'd be looting an burning but the Supreme Court might fear it, resulting in an "OJ" decision. I'm drawing conclusions from her NRA membership and hunting experience, but if she is elected VP the staus quo on gun ownership will be preserved- nothing will change and that's fine with me.
She's obviously wrong about sex education, and if creationism is ever taught in schools, it should be a comparison of the world's religions and Native beliefs, and how they tell the story of the Earths creation. Evolution should be taught as scientific theory.
It's funny, I notice that most people here think that a belief in God is a sign of ignorance. Maybe so, but having faith shouldn't be a "sin". Forcing your religious belief on others is where the line must be drawn. I'm sad to say that Republicans are more likely to 'monkey' with the constitution to advance their crusades than the Dems.

Do you think McCain will die in office?
