This is slightly amazing - "Cargo ship’s station docking delayed due to NASA evacuation."

"Hurricane Ike disrupts traffic in space."

I read this and found it fascinating. A Russian resupply capsule due to dock at an International Space Station with some American assistance is able to head to a parking orbit and wait for a more propitious time. At which time it can maneuver into position and dock.

I would suspect that in a pinch the entire docking could be handled by the Russians, the ISS and the Soyuz alone, and have a hunch the US, the ISS and the Soyuz could handle it alone, but that's beside the point.

We've (they've, I'm not a part) come a long ways in the last 50 years.
