is not comparible to rabid rightwingers like Ms. Coulter...
My PM is certainly no Rush Limbaugh or Dick Cheney either.

Prime Minister Harper is more compassionate than
either of those examples from the USA.

My PM will not gut social programs for those in genuine need.

He won't abolish universal Healthcare in Canada.

He is willing to extend Canada's traditional 'welcome mat'
to genuine refugees..
But not to American military deserters who volunteered
and then changed their mind.

I think Mr. Harper will certainly introduce
tough [but welcome] changes to Canada's criminal law,
if his government gets a majority,
making life sentences genuine life sentences for scumbags
who carry out some of the most horrific crimes.
I am sick of dangerous violent criminals in Canada
serving 'lengthy sentences' and getting out on 'good behavior'
after 2-3 years.

Changing subjects.
When Canada's province of Ontario was a British colony
known as 'Upper Canada' in the 18th century, it's
British Governor, Mr. Simcoe, abolished slavery in that
colony in 1793, 40 years before England itself outlawed
the practice.
That's why many American slaves fled to Upper Canada
between 1793 and 1861.
