I received my usual weekly e-mail from our US Representative, Emanuel C. Cleaver who has been doing a good job for us. He was the Mayor of KC before running from Congress and is a pretty impressive man. He has morning coffee most Saturdays, each time in a different cafe in his district, where constituents came come talk, express their views, etc. I'd love to go to one of those but am unable to do so. I had to laugh at something he wrote in this newsletter (except it's NOT funny!):

Rep. Cleaver said, "It really troubles me that the United States is borrowing money from China to buy oil from Saudi Arabia to put in cars from Japan."
