In related news, McCain said that if he were President, he would
fire the Chairman of the SEC for the financial disaster we have been
put in by all those greedy, short-sighted capitalists, because it is
the President who hires the SEC Chairman.

Tough talk, but in reality the President of the USA does NOT hire the
SEC Chairman, so he can't really do anything to the guy except use
harsh rhetoric to try and look tough to a public that won't be bothered
to dig for the facts.

I keep thinking nobody can be so stupid as to vote for McCain-Palin
and sink our otherwise great country into an even deeper mire, letting
the Chinese and who knows who else essentially dominate the globe
without firing a shot - but sadly I know better.
