re: [tedious long-hand calculations by gbaike deleted]

"1) Learn how to use calculus, or spreadsheets. PLEASE save the reader the burden of ploughing through several pages of your long-hand calculations. Your method of approximation by small intervals is the introduction to calculus, or finite-difference numerical methods. At the scale of increments you're using, it's not precise enough. You need to do better, or do it simpler."

If I'm *suppose* to provide this more precise calculation, why can't you or anyone else do this?
I don't need to do this and welcome anyone else providing more precise answers.
But all I got from Phil was "NFW does it reduce the mass by half."
I think my answer is better than that.
I think my answer indicated it would be *at least* 25%.
Maybe, phil is right that it couldn't be 50%, maybe the best one could expect is 40% or 30%. But I don't think he right to say no f*cking way could it be 50%.
