Who's laughing?

Can you say "gallows humor"? Nice try.

Given that I usually don't have any problem locating my own opinion, the fact that I see no good answer in any direction is a measure of how incredibly screwed up this situation has become. You'll notice that my main serious comment was about the ridiculous hypocrisy of trying to blame Democrats for the fact that a dozen Republicans got their knickers in a knot over Pelosi's speech and changed their minds, and votes, on what should have been a matter of pure conviction...whatever that conviction may be. Now that is pure partisanship.

One thing I learned long ago, is that when Republicans start sniveling about "partisanship", they're 1) implying that it's Democrats who are being partisan for disagreeing with them, and 2) it's a preemptive attack to cover up their own partisanship.

Oh, and then there's that other thread trying to build the hilarious case that Democrats are entirely responsible for deregulating the mortgage industry and causing this mess. I eagerly await your response to Tony's questions. It sounds like he has a passing familiarity with the mortgage biz...unlike the bloggers you're quoting.
