The wealthy have no mercy, and this enormous transfer of wealth from the middle class to the wealthy will probably make them untouchable. That means the transfer will continue, with the middle class finally shrivelling down to the professionals supplying services to the upper classes. Doctors, dentists, that sort.

Education will always be available to enough to supply the technicians and for law enforcement and prisons, but for other folks will go away, as two income families move to three and four income.

With the additional $1.8 trillion debt added to the middle class there will be less money for everything, including health insurance. More and more foreign nations will own significant American financial and income-producing institutions, and the US loses most of what influence it had in the world.

A difference between the US and other major powers will be how much of the US is owned by foreign interests. I suspect Japan and Russia don't have their financial infrastructure and major industries owned by other nations.

I think the US as envisioned by our Founding Fathers is done for.
