"WASHINGTON - The Defense Department will pay private U.S. contractors in Iraq up to $300 million over the next three years to produce news stories, entertainment programs and public service advertisements for the Iraqi media in an effort to "engage and inspire" the local population to support U.S. objectives and the Iraqi government."

Those poor Iraqis now get to hear what wonderful folks have been kicking down their doors, torturing, killing at will. How the US is misundertood and the Iraqis are quick to judge. And how soon they forget that Saddam is gone, lynched, and can never be a factor in their lives again.

How they don't realize that in many areas they are free, except for Predators killing any who may want to visit with neighbors. In the other areas, American troops protect them from everyone else who wants to kill them. Sort of like protecting a fishing stream on your property - if anyone is going to kill 'em it damned well better be Americans.
