...look up!
You will see a terrifying spectacle;
even from among the city lights of Khartoum.
[assuming you would visit that dangerous country]
You will see a intensely bright bolide streaking
across the sky; the remains of an asteroid
that WAS not much larger than 6 meters [20 feet]
in diameter prior to it hitting the Earth's atmosphere.
That asteroid, if it remains intact, bright as its bolide is,
will suddenly flare up in the Sudanese night sky
becoming blindingly bright at its peak; momentarily brighter
than the sun as the overheated, overstressed asteroid core
violently explodes, 10's of kilometers overhead with
an energy yield of at least one kiloton.
Then...the terrifying part will be over.
You are safe!
The asteroid is shattered into countless incandescent particles
which will not reach the ground!
The countless fiery fragments will create a breath-taking meteor shower
the likes of which have not been seen since?
1966?
1833?
If you live in or visit Sudan tonight...
