What do you suppose McCain has set up for tonight's surprise?

Various commentators (here, and there are others) have noticed McCain's fondness for a dramatic event to give him a bump in the polls. Palin was the most obvious and ultimately obnxious on, and he's going to need a few more. The Ayers matter isn't sticking to Obama nearly as much as Palin calling a United States Senator a traitor to the US who doesn't share the country's values is sticking to McCain.

Any thoughts on what McCain will do tonight? I suspect he may have created some nonsense along the lines of Palin's traitor, and may go so far as to announce Palin has been replaced. I don't know, just suspect there will be something quite dramatic.
