Horrible sentence for the family, too.
My brother-in-law was just diagnosed with dementia. I wondered at the time if it wasn't a form of Alzheimers. I noted a personality change the last time I spoke to him on the phone. He was upbeat, chipper and outgoing, something he had never been with me (unless drinking at the time). He had been reserved.
I am so sorry for my sister. This is only the beginning of her nightmare. Which she will see through with the same strength she has had all through her life.
I wonder if she'll break after it's done.
