How am I going to know?

What I'm concerned with is the follow through. How will I ever know? I won't. The hell with it then, though mulch sounds good.

It's a little like those announcements: "Elvis has left the building." Elvis is no longer affected by what happens to the building. It could collapse, be turned into condominiums, a museum, whatever. Elvis has left the building. It served it's purpose, and Elvis then left.

Where he went I have no idea. But it's clear that building has no more Elvis.

There's a fascinating article in Scientific American about dying right now. And one of the things the author points out is that an ego can have no concept of dying, a world without it. So that our postulations about it mean nothing.

And until someone can take all the blood out of a dead person with cancer, freeze 'em and then bring 'em back to life again, healthy, wholesome and happy I'm gonna have to assume it can't be done. Hell, I'll settle for a hamster. Let it die, hang it, bleed it, freeze it, thaw it, infuse it and stick it in it's little wheel and let him rip. That would be great for a start.
