Off Topic » in reply to Debate, first impression: Why is Obama wearing a red tie and McCain a blue?

Impressions.

McCain - somewhat fragile, cranky. A bit like watching a 10 year/old. Obama - seems more direct.

Obama seems more frustrated than cranky, seems to stick to topic and answer questions while McCain seems to be focused upon "Gotcha".

McCain is locked into some demonstrated lies, which colors the rest of his pitch. For example, negative ads. Denied he was doing it.

McCain's occasional attempts to interpret Obama for the American public seem arrogant, desperate. McCain's overviews wonderful, break down when he's asked for viable plans.

I'm biased, and I'm sure that some folks can sincerely believe McCain "won". Looking at them on C-Span, side by side, there's no doubt who appears "Presidential".

Both of them are brighter, more eloquent, and thoughtful than the current resident of the White House.
