I think it very possible.
I've done a bit of sensing like that myself but not enough to say absolutely that it was real. I know too well the tricks the mind can play. I seem to remember reading the government was doing experiments on that, though. Don't know how they turned out.
I do very much believe in the power of the mind. It's all electrical wiring so why can't electrical charges zip along and touch other electrical charges?
