The media is expected to file reports such as "The Good News about Abu Ghraib is that the inmates enjoy their activities."

"Sunny Guantanamo provides a welcome relief from the Afghanistan winter." "Village elder thanks US Air Force for humanitarian act - wipes out entire family, leaving no mourners."

That would be an "unbiased" media.

The reality of the last 8 years is that the Bush Administration has been a disaster in every area in which it has operated. There have been Guantanamo, Abu Ghraib and on and on and on.

The Conservatives, neocons, chickenhawks and others of their ilk consider reporting the facts of a situation as media bias. The problem with the routine and systematic torture of Iraqis was not that the torture was being done (and there were NO ticking bombs) but that it was reported. By a biased and unpatriotic media.

Simply reporting the bad news of Bush & Cheney is considered prejudice and biased.

They would have the media lie, ignore the killing of innocents, not even talk about the promises and the realities, and then would call it "fair".

The biased bullshit belongs to the McCarthy genre of politics, the shout 'em down Florida vote recount kind of Republican tactics.

Bad news, failure of policy, failure in execution is not the fault of the media. It's the fault of the winger extremists who have been in power.

Frankly, I've given up on their accepting responsibility for their actions. They will continue to sit there and beller unfair as they continue to screw over everyone they can find.
