I hope that this election will mark the end both of attack politics,
and perhaps the end of reactionary neo-con efforts

In any case, I hope that we'll see a return to "conservative" fiscal policies
(the end of printing money to pay our way)
some industrial stategies
(at least some thought given to the consequences and futures of our industries)
an effort to end our dependence on oil
(including both domestic drilling for the transition period, and nuclear electric)
and some effort to make the delivery of goverment services effective
(an end of "The Wrecking Crew"'s strategies, and some curtailment of lobbyist influence)

On the space frontier, this will mean an end to attack politics there as well,
and an end of the specious rationalizations that have been used to justify those attacks.

But then, one never knows...
