No one wants to answer the question?

Who gains?

Life is all about gain. In this material world folks live day to day grabbing out an existence and livelihood from others.

If Obama were to be killed the GOP wouldn't win another Presidential election for decades - probably ever. The martyr-making-process would turn Obama into Lincoln-Kennedy-James-Dean-Elvis-Marilyn all rolled into one. The entire nation would feel an 8.0 earthquake as the whole foundation of the nation shifts far left.

Who gained when the crazy ATM lady claimed a black man beat her up because she supported McCain then the same day confessed to making it up?

Did that just win McCain another 100,000 votes?

Or did that add exactly the sort of incident that riles up independents and progressives - pure circa 1920 racial prejudice and framing - and secure Obama those extra 100,000 fence-sitters?

But what amuses me the most is that my posts saying both of these candidates are losers get ignored, and only posts that can be interpreted partisan get jumped upon - when I'm only pointing out what even a bright 6th grader could deduce.

I'm glad you finally feel positive about the nation. I hope that Obama, if elected, will be everything you want/need him to be.

On the other hand, if McCain is elected, I hope that folks here don't further become paralyzed by the hatred of so many things/people which motivate them.

Its just as likely some unhinged leftist goes out and kills McCain, screaming incoherently about diebold machines, stolen elections, etc.

The level of hate is equally present in the unhinged far leftist who spends all their spare time foaming at the mouth about conservatives as it is in the racist neo-nazi redneck who can't get past the color of someone's skin.

At this point, it may be better if Obama wins. So many Americans need to learn that particular lesson about seeking salvation outside themselves. They need to be promised a full plate and handed an empty one.

That's when their brain starts to kick in.
