I played by the rules. I bought a house within my means. The creditors told me I could get a bigger house and a bigger loan to go with it. But I knew what I could afford. I was responsible.

Now the government wants to bail out those who were irresponsible and got in over their heads. Now those irresponsible home buyers will get to keep their larger homes, while this bailout drives down the value of my home.

I think Bush was wrong to propose this bailout. I think the House and Senate were wrong to pass it. I think Obama and McCain were wrong to vote for it. The only ones I have respect for are the few Democrats and Republicans in the House that voted against it.

This is a Bi-Partisan screw-up. Once again, those who are responsible get screwed while the irresponsible get rewarded.
