"Ghost Hunters"? As in looking for ghosts?
I'll be damned. May have gone mainstream.
I spent an evening on a tour of the tunnels under Portland's business district which were used to shanghai men and get them aboard sailing ships. The leader described himself as an anthropologist, but spent considerable time talking about "hot spots", and how he had combed the area locating and measuring them.
At the end of the tour the guide asked us to tell him if we had felt any "hot spots". One woman volunteered and he told her that was a common place.
All of that was done without a snicker, or smile, all done as if he were serious.
