Since Biden came on board the Obama campaign (he now has to be kept away from the press), the media has quietly stepped away from the "gaffe" issue.

David Plouffe is managing Obama's campaign. Not Obama. A political campaign is not "executive experience" for any politician, but it is an indication how far he has to reach.
