Obviously, this is simply to start getting the election into the courts.
By the way, how does being in the military exempt people from the election dates, from timely ballots?
I would think that pretty much everyone has known for what, 50, 60 years that this election would take place on November 4, 2008, the first Tuesday in November? That's the last day to get one's ballot in to have it count. That goes for most folks - emergency room doctors, lawyers, people who work night shift, split-shifts, cops, bus drivers. Astronauts. In space.
Except now, before a single ballot is announced, before any harm could have been done McCain is trying to change that, to confuse and disrupt the electoral process. Even the most partisan observer would have to concede some of his multitude of lawyers got overeager with their agenda.
And most people know that if something has to be mailed it takes time for that item to reach it's destination. November 4 is the arrival date, not the mailing date.
Heh, heh.

I happen to know the military uses the same calendar as the ROW.
