I'd heard about the IAF pilot's feat and also the R/C landing, but unfortunately, that first link
http://www.metacafe.com/watch/333048/one_wing_landing/
crashes Firefox 2.0.0.3, at least on this box.
Based on what I've read, a one-wing landing would be possible with an aircraft which has a thrust-to-weight ratio great than 1. Theoretically, even a brick with that power could do a tail stand. Some pilots commenting on YouTube say that the landing is possible, and a few weren't nearly as convinced as most of the screamers there than the video was "faked."
There are at least four possibilities:
1) the video is real
2) the video depicts an R/C model
3) the video is CGI
4) the video features various elements edited together: an R/C model with CGI sequences and/or video of a full size plane.
I'll try that link later in IE.
Thanks,
S
