The swing which started in 2006 and was expressed quite forcefully on this day would seem to carry a message for Obama.

I think he has not only a permissive mandate but definite orders to change the direction of this country. I believe the people have not as much expressed approval of Obama and Biden but have directed Obama to be their agent and move the US back into a position of world leadership in essential areas. This means restoring the rule by law, of respecting human rights, civil rights, acknowledging the rights of others, using force as a last and not a first resort. Fiscal responsibility. Restoration of the US when the Constitution ruled, which kept it's word, and could be trusted.

I don't think he has a choice. He's been told.
