I'm guessing they can't get a loan 'cause of crappy business decisions in the past. Could someone tell me why North American car companies didn't start making hybrids back in the late 90's? Especially when there was consistent interest in hybrids all these years? In 2003 I noticed a huge interest in Toyota by intellectual types, engineers, MBAs, etc. I'm guessing GM management was refusing to budge on their traditional market niche. Inflexible. Maybe they should go belly up. Shocks the hell out of me considering all the awesome prototypes they churned out over the years. And none were ever produced. It's like ... wow dude. They blow off all their innovators, that's what they get. Flush.
