I've been seeing a lot of crap about the "Obama market crash." Give me a break. If we know anything about the current stock market, it's that it's psychotic, and has been flying in all directions for many weeks.

That, and there are dozens of economic numbers and news releases every day, all of which affect the market. Add profit-taking, and sheer irrationality, and the short-term market is anybody's guess.

Pinning this last dive on Obama is silly. Long term trends over next year will be more significant, particularly when we find out what taxation, entitlement, spending. and other fiscal policies really end up being.

Of course, if McCain had won, the crash would have been all his fault.
