"When Pardons Turn Political." An end to the rule of law.
The Presidential pardon authority effectively ends the rule of law in the US and turns the country into a dictatorship. Anything and everything can be pardoned by the Prez, including illegal arrests, killings, torture, wiretapping, graft and corruption of any and all types. And I think we will see that happen before January 20.
That is no different than the dictatorships we saw operating in the 20th century, where the leader was the law. Period.
Scary. No wonder Bush and Cheney have so nonchalantly been violating both laws and the Constitution.
