Interesting thread

Listening to you two.

I had friends who chose McCain.
Hell, one of my kids was going to vote for him as she was hanging with more and more local elder Republicans in the small town in which she lives (she's making more money). My son replied (when I asked him who he was going to vote for) said "Not Obama, he's going to take our guns away. I probably won't vote".

I can't blame them. They're not into politics, and have no clue what's going on this country, and I'm not there to shape their beliefs anymore. A couple of close friends of mine were charmed by McCain and the white American national hero and his sweetheart, all-American girl running mate and I kept my mouth shut. Sort of like...I can't say who's right or wrong; but we'll find out at the end, not only of the election....but at the end of the new administration. To tell them anything, would be futile. (Oh, I tried; but you can only go so far if they don't understand the history....and the brainwashing and the political calisthenics). Sort of like this board prior to the first Bush election. You all had it coming.
I warned you. I told you why, but no one listened anyway.

I think Americans are waking up. It took being bent over for 8 long years to realize it.
Enablers, all of them.

People learn by experience. Just like your kids, you can tell them what will hurt them, but they often have to learn for themselves. I recoiled at a lot of my friend's decisions on McCain. But I also realized they don't have the knowledge of the political history of the past few decades as I do, nor (dare I say) do they care. I only had one recant before the election. A Christian scientist friend of mine who should have known better. Went to see McCain at a live convention. Said he could see the devil in his eyes, hear the devil in his voice.

WHATEVER...........I told him I had seen the change in McCain almost 8 long years ago, when he rolled over. I figured "they" had been grooming him ever since for the hotshot hotspot. The den of all inequities. The bottomless cash pit. The nobility. The highest order of the land was corrupted, but it WAS where McCain was going.

I am so relieved it went to the better man who will defy the lions and the system itself.
We need America back...and America has spoken.
