Molten diamond

Hi Larry

At 6000 K and a few megabar diamond becomes liquid, which sounds bizarre but it's a pressure thing. At regular pressures it just decomposes into graphite, which sublimates AFAIK in anaerobic conditions. Else it burns when there's oxygen at 900 C or so. Neptune and Uranus might have diamond rain in their deep layers.
