re: "value"?
I have no problem with the bulk of most meteorites being traded like baseball cards, or with anyone making an honest buck out of pitching them. But some of these stones have scientific value far beyond any price the market can pay for them. And I don't think the market will be able to distinguish between the two, or be able to keep from exploiting that difference. Those are the stones that belong to eveyone.
