Everybody wants to go to the Moon.
Well.....
Private corporations & groups maybe next.
The Hughes Corporation has already done it,
when it sent it's own comsat looping around the Moon
on its way to its final location at GEO, making history.
Unfortunately, Hughes Corporation is now history.
That was over 10 years ago
But...there's the Lunar X-Prize; I don't know if any competitor
can pull it off by the end of 2012 though.
However, the first successful orbital launch of an Falcon-1
provides a promising launcher system for the competitors.
We'll see.
