According to this guy the Saudis funded al-Qaeda and various other questionable enterprises. The wife of the Saudi Ambassador to the US was the source of thousands of dollars which found their way to a man who was aiding several of the 9-11 plotters.

One of the problems the US is having is that in it's war on Islam some Islamic countries aren't willing to wipe out parts of their own populations.
