Hi Larry
Point taken, but what I meant was Life hasn't found a way to profoundly change the other 7 planets. The more we learn about Life and its biogeochemical influences here on Earth the less we of such on the other planets.
Maybe bacteria have taken up living on Mars, Europa, Titan and Enceladus but we don't see any obvious disequilibrium of gases - even the methane seen has plausibly abiotic origins. Life is obviously marginal on any other body in the System, if it exists at all.
I'd love to be proven wrong on this, but the more data we have, the less Life we see. Though that's variable from researcher to researcher - I've seen more than a few papers on life in comets, Venus's clouds, the Moon and similar fringe claims. Can't say I'm convinced yet.
