Velikovsky, not van Looney-Bin...

Nick

Their theory is worth a look since they're at the very least trying to build on real science and collect real data. Velikovsky did neither, and argued based on mythology and so we both know he was full of shit, whereas de Meijer and van Westrenen's idea is worth serious consideration.

• Can you explain the isotope data?
• Are you a CMB expert?
• Can you rule out georeactors?

I'm pretty sure the answer is "no" to all those questions. So make your criticism a bit more specific and a bit less dismissive.
