Oversimplifying it, I see torture like a parent beatin' the shit out of their children...all the while screaming..."How many times have I told you!!!? Do not hit your sibling!!!"
I always go to my bottom line...and if I saw these despicable acts going on I would die trying to stop it.
I know *they* do it to our men/women...does that make it okay for us to do the same?...I have an ongoing life long lesson of learning how to try to *turn the other cheek*....
However...we, as the United States of America are the standard. We must always be above torture of any kind. How can we spout Democracy and the good of the world... when we are guilty of the very same thing that they are? 2 wrongs do not a right make.
I am a realist...I know it ain't gonna stop....
