Hansen is in danger of going nuts. This may become more obvious as time goes by.

His "cap tax/per-capita dividend" idea, pure wealth redistribution, is inane, and is designed as though the only people who use energy are four-member families. Any major energy-using industry will suffer massive financial impact from increased energy costs with no fiscal relief from any of these "dividends," and that added cost will be eventually passed on to the consumers.

Also, it will never fly in Washington. To politicians, the entire purpose of a tax is to wield political power and buy votes. Hansen's "transparent" tax-to-dividend program almost bypasses Washington completely.

However, I do applaud his support of nuclear power in these documents.
